He is a very anti-social, egotismish, diffident boy. His all acquaintances and lift out is the servants son named Hassan. Both boys were raised in the same home. Hassan was raised as the servants brace and emeer the son of the wealthy man. Hassan being the servants son was raised to serve Amir even thought they are a couple of years apart, Hassan is younger. Amirs post changes drastically when Assef rapes Hassan.
